Inclusion Criteria: |
A patient who is suffering from sacroiliac joint/lowback pain without radicular symptoms (sciatica). |
Goal/Result |
Week 1-2: |
Patient should report no pain at rest. |
Week 3-4: |
Marked reduction of pain, free from tenderness. |

Week 4-5: |
Patient is independent with strengthening program Without exacerbation of symptoms. |
Week 6-8: |
Patient is independent with home exercise program Without exacerbation of symptoms. |
Week 8+: |
Muscle strength is within normal limits with no Symptoms and discharged from physical therapy. |
| Additional weeks of therapy may be necessary in certain co-existing conditions especially in case of females. Obesity, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, early menopause/hysterectomy, thoracic kyphosis with diagnosis of osteoporosis/osteopenia, back pain/SI joint pain same side (with or without scoliosis/leg length discrepancy) and smoking. |
